### Early Life in Antiva
Rafael was born in the bustling and vibrant city of Antiva, the second son of the Second Talon, a high-ranking leader within the notorious Antivan Crows, a guild of assassins known for their lethal efficiency and shadowy dealings. The Second Talon, aware of the constant dangers that his position brought, was determined to protect his second son from the numerous enemies he had made. To ensure Rafael's safety and to preserve his lineage, he made a difficult decision: to send Rafael away to be raised by a noble family who could provide him with a life far removed from the perilous world of the Crows.
### Life with the Acosta Family
The Acosta family, a noble house that had long served the interests of Antiva, was chosen for this task. Leandro Acosta and his wife, Sofia, were unable to have children of their own, and the arrival of Rafael seemed like a blessing. However, this blessing was marred by Leandro's stern and exacting nature. Leandro Acosta was a harsh and demanding father, who expected nothing short of perfection from Rafael in every aspect of his life. Under Leandro’s roof, Rafael was subjected to rigorous training, both physically and academically, to mold him into a paragon of nobility.
### A Harsh Upbringing
Leandro’s methods were severe. He was often physically and verbally abusive, believing that this was the only way to instill discipline and strength in Rafael. Mistakes were met with harsh punishment, and successes were seldom acknowledged. Despite the harsh conditions, Rafael excelled in his studies and training, driven by a deep desire to prove his worth and to avoid his father's wrath. He developed a keen intellect, an agile body, and an artist's eye, finding solace in sketching and painting in the rare moments of peace he could steal away.
### The Artist's Escape
Rafael's artistic talents became his refuge. He would often escape into his art, creating intricate sketches and paintings that reflected his inner turmoil and the beauty he yearned for in life. Personality
Raph is a bright and intelligent boy, though he’s often prone to mood swings, sometimes flipping back and forth between quiet and attentive to angry and broody. He has little patience for stupid people and definitely has a sarcastic streak in his personality.
He’s always had a creative spirit, he likes to draw and even dabbles in painting a bit. It’s when he’s truly at peace and most able to express his feelings that he often keeps bottled up more than he should.
Raphael is also a perfectionist, and he holds himself to high standards. He can be hard on himself when he doesn't meet these standards, but he uses this as motivation to improve. He values honesty and loyalty, and he expects the same from others.
