The youngest child of the Arvina family and by far the most eccentric. Was born with an overactive imagination and an affinity towards cats. The family indulged his eccentricities and imagination, mainly because he wasn’t the eldest, he was the spare so they figured, what was the harm.
When Deme was fifteen years old, a feud with a rival family reached a boiling point. The fighting and animosity led to outright fighting and ultimately left Deme an orphan. Radonis, having always had an affinity towards the Arvina's, decided to take Deme under his wing and make him his apprentice and basically became the father figure in Deme’s life.
After becoming Radonis’s apprentice, he learned the awful truth that Radonis had been hiding from the people. He suffered from the wasting disease. It was something that magic couldn’t cure, it could only minimise the symptoms.
Tragedy would strike again in Deme’s life. He married at the age of thirty to a lovely young woman, who, though he wasn’t IN love with, he was quite fond of. A couple of years into the marriage she became pregnant and Deme was over the moon, but when it came time for the birth, he would lose both his wife and child, at which point he swore he would never marry again.
Things would seem fine for awhile. He would be named Radonis’s heir and would help Radonis with his condition, but eventually the condition would catch up to Radonis. His death would seem sudden to some who didn’t even know he was sick, and some even felt suspicious, but to the people that mattered, they knew the truth. Deme was forty-four (9:41) when he stepped up as Archon.
