Tell me I'm pretty

Vincent hadn’t expected to be asked by Lucien to stand up with him during the ceremony, but he’d been honoured when Lucien asked him. He had never seen his sister this happy before, but it felt damn good to see it.

Truth be told, when Maeve had first started associating with a human noble, Vincent had had some doubts, but those were put to rest when he met Lucien and learned more about the man. Now he couldn’t be happier for his sister and Lucien.

All during the ceremony all Vincent could think about was looking across the guests and seeing how beautiful that Rosalie looked. He couldn’t wait until the reception part of the event so that he could hang out with Rosalie instead of just being stuck with the wedding party. Not that there was anything wrong with the wedding party, he just really wanted to spend every second he could with Rosalie.

As soon as they were at the reception, Vincent broke off from the wedding party and went over to see Rosalie. He realised in the rush to have everything ready for the ceremony and his duties in standing up with Lucien, that he was fairly certain he hadn’t told Rosalie how beautiful she looked, he would just have to rectify that.

He snuck up behind Rosalie and swooped in to kiss her on the cheek, a big ass cheesy grin on his face. Rosalie had that effect on him, made him feel all giddy like perhaps his feet weren’t even touching the ground.

Hey there beautiful, care to dance? I mean unless you have some overprotective boyfriend who would terrorise me for even asking. He said with a grin, clearly teasing her.

Despite of not being as close to Maeve and Lucien as Vincent was, Rosalie adored weddings and it had been a while since she had gone to one. The pair seemed incredibly happy and Rosalie couldn’t help to be both overjoyed and to long for her own wedding a bit. She knew this wasn’t the moment for her and Vincent, both were too busy with their careers and she had married a man who was bound to the battlefield, in the same way that her brother had. She knew that Lana and him were having problems but she wanted to think that love fixed everything.
She was so lost in thought that Vincent almost startled her “Well luckily you are my overprotective boyfriend so I think that dancing is safe” she said with a big grin as they went to where the majority was dancing a slow dance “I am so happy for your sister. The wedding is beautiful” she said softly as she looked at the decoration “They do have a great taste for decoration” she added.

“And you know what’s best? That for the first time in months we can go home together to our place!” because Vincent had the key for a while but he had been in missions and Rosalie had moved back to Orlais recently so practically they hadn’t seen each other since that day in Amaranthine and even then Vincent had left after diner due to his duties.

Vincent grinned, he loved hearing Rosalie call him her boyfriend. They were certainly the most glorious words in the dictionary when strung together as such. Seeing his sister so happy, and being so happy himself, it felt like nothing could possibly go wrong. Well, everything went wrong eventually, but he felt like whatever did go wrong, would be alright because he had Rosalie by his side to help him through whatever shitstorm rained down on them. He smiled as they danced, hanging on her every word.

Ya know, there was a time, I didn’t think either one of us would ever find real happiness, but she did and now I have. I hope that maybe that’ll be us someday, you know, once we’ve got a little less on our plates. With the Blight over his biggest duty now was helping to rebuild and make sure all the darkspawn stragglers were dealt with. Eventually things would go back to their usual non-blight routine, at which point he’d have a lot more free time on his hands.

It is a lot nicer than my quarters at the Grey Warden fortress and not just because you’re there, though that is a big part of it. He said with a grin as they slowly moved around the dance floor. He wasn’t as practised when it came to dancing, but as long as they kept the steps simple, he was mostly able to keep up with the slow music. Though he’d be horribly lost if a fast song came up.

“And I have to say that Lucien looks completely in love. I don’t know what fate awaits them but I can tell that someone that looks at you like that only can want your absolute happiness” she said with a soft smile “It’s like when I look at you, I can only think about ways to attempt to make your life a bit better” she said before tiptoeing for a little kiss.

“Well not going to lie, I’d take a bit of offense if you preferred to share a quarter with your peers than me specially when I uhmm…” she said looking down tapping nervously his back “I look very forwards to share with you like, more than the quarters to you know…” she was tapping and red like a tomato, which was a bit pathetic in her opinion since she was a grown woman who was basically telling her boyfriend that she was looking forwards to be closer to her boyfriend to sleep with him more often “like I love you and I want you to know that I love you for more than that!!! Don’t misunderstand me! It’s just that you are very good at it and I am not fixing it like I am sorry” she said hiding her face on his chest.

Vincent nodded in agreement about how Lucien looked, though he did worry at least a little bit, not he didn’t trust Lucien, but he didn’t trust the game. Even though he knew that Maeve was perfectly able to handle herself, he still worried because he was her brother after all. Then he grinned at Rosalie’s comment about finding ways to make his life better.

Honestly, my life is better just having you in it! He explained. He pulled her closer, their bodies swaying gently to the rhythm of the music. And, Rosalie, there's no need to be nervous. I love you too, and I look forward to sharing more than just quarters with you as well. He reassured her, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead.

"Then I do have a proposal for you" said Rosalie, a blush on her cheeks "To retire a bit more early than what we planned before in order to enjoy the night on our own" said the young woman as she smiled at her boyfriend. Perhaps it was a bit bold but she wanted to celebrate the happiness that came with a celebration like a wedding.

Vincent grinned at Rosalie’s suggestion, he was definitely all for it. He kissed her cheek before responding, Now that, sounds like an excellent idea!!! He kissed the side of her cheek and looked around surmising that they shouldn’t have to stay too much longer.
