Horus let out a dramatic sigh, leaning back in his chair with the air of a man contemplating the deepest mysteries of the universe. He swirled the remnants of his drink in his mug before tossing it back with the flourish of a seasoned performer hitting his final note.
He smirked, eyes flicking to Dora as he tapped a finger against his temple.
His grin turned downright wicked as he gestured vaguely toward the pitcher she’d so graciously provided.
Leaning forward, Horus placed his elbows on the table, lowering his voice conspiratorially.
He winked, lifting his empty mug in a silent request for more. The night was still young, and if Ruth was going to get up to trouble, well, Horus would be damned if he wasn’t right there beside him, making it worse.

Ah, Ruthie, Ruthie, Ruthie,he drawled, shaking his head with mock sorrow.
You wound me, truly. As if I’d ever let myself get caught in a noose—especially one of your making. And as for being oiled up? Well, let’s just say some memories are best left to the sea breeze and rum, savvy?
He smirked, eyes flicking to Dora as he tapped a finger against his temple.
That said, our dear Mistress of Parts does seem the type to know how to get a man properly… secured. And if she’s here sniffin’ around for secrets, well, I might just be inclined to share. For the right price, of course.
His grin turned downright wicked as he gestured vaguely toward the pitcher she’d so graciously provided.
Which, by my count, you’re already halfway to payin’. Keep the drinks coming, love, and I might just tell you what shade of pink Ruth here turns when he’s actually flustered. It’s a rare sight, I tell ya. Almost mythical.
Leaning forward, Horus placed his elbows on the table, lowering his voice conspiratorially.
Now, if *you’re* the one lookin’ for a punter to chain up, well… I can think of far worse places to spend an evening than in the company of a lass with a sharp wit and a heavier hand. But be warned, love—chain me up, and you might just find I’ve got a knack for pickin’ locks.
He winked, lifting his empty mug in a silent request for more. The night was still young, and if Ruth was going to get up to trouble, well, Horus would be damned if he wasn’t right there beside him, making it worse.
