WANTED AD GUIDELINES
When creating Wanted Ads, we ask that you use the template below. The template ensures you provide enough detail, while being absolutely clear about what you expect from the person taking your wanted ad. The hope is that this will stop people from creating ads with no real purpose, and stop people from taking wanted ads and never playing out their purpose. This should ease some worry from wanted ad writers, who may feel shy and anxious about stating what exactly they expect from their partners.
MAKING A WANTED
When you make a wanted, be sure to be specific about the type of character you're looking for. Ads that are too vague may be rejected. Saying "I'm looking for siblings for X" is too broad and isn't enough detail to justify it as a real wanted. To make sure you're giving the wanted as much information as possible, use some variation of this form to create your ads:
Note that this form does not need filled out entirely, but the more information you put in to it, the better for getting it filled!
Example Wanted Ad (Using Form):
Name: Must use the last name Campana. First name is open.
Nickname/Alias: Nicknames are up to the RPer.
Age: This character can be no older than 32, and must be no younger than 21.
Race: The Campana family is made up of humans, so unless you can suggest an interesting plot point, human is their race.
Sexuality: Up to the RPer, this does not matter for this ad.
Organization: This does not matter to this ad, and is left to the RPer's descretion.
Brief Personality: This character is likely kind, generous, but probably has a few flawed traits too. My first thoughts on her flaws is that she likes to eat expensive dishes and turns her nose up at anything she deems to be beneath her. She's a bit of a brat and uses malicious compliance against the people who tell her to do things. Expansion upon this area any further is up to the RPer!
Brief Appearance: Face claims in this family are typically Hispanic, however this member of the Campana family is adopted, and has a Black face.
Brief History: (optional)
Character's Role: Adopted Daughter to [Character Name]. I'd like this character to cause some trouble among the family members, and maybe cause a harsh division in Antiva.
Character's Fate: This character will be left in the RPers hands after she's served her purpose, and can die if the RPer chooses.
WHAT ARE "ROLES" AND "FATES"?
So wanteds now have a "role" and "fate" section that needs to be tacked on to each search thread. You can write your role and fates out with as much detail as you wish, but we do require you to write in something for both.
A character's role is the specific role they have to the wanted ad maker; this is the role they're playing out. An example of a role could be sibling, romantic interest, etc.
A fate is essentially what happens after the character has made their 15 required posts with the wanted ad owner (or after they have completed their "role"). An example of a fate could be: they are an end-all-be-all romance, the character's are not meant to be endgoal romance but we can discuss it, they are supposed to die.
THE RULES
1) You must make 15 posts with the owner of the wanted ad after making the wanted ad character. This ensures wanted ads are actually interacting with the wanted ad requester.
1a) If a wanted ad requester feels like the person who took their wanted ad is not interacting with them, they can reach out to staff to discuss what they'd like to happen.
1b) Your wanted ad character can write with other characters prior to finishing the 15 posts with the requester.
2) After the initial 15 posts with the creator, the wanted ad character is considered to have finished their "role".
2a) This means that if the role was a short-term role (such as temporary friend, temporary enemy, etc.) their fate will occur.
2b) For longer term roles and fates (such as: siblings, one true pairing romances, etc.) the RPer who's taken the wanted ad understands the endgoal and should not deviate from the endgoal.
