Castigat ridendo mores

“Well I can concede you a dance” said the former bard as she pulled him into the dance floor for a slow elegant dance.
The rhythm was quiet calm, and Maeve fixed her gaze on her lover, trying to not look as lovestruck as she felt at the moment. She was not one for mushy things but she had to admit that now, with the low lighting as she gazed at Lucien, she felt more enamored than ever.

“You know, I have made a lot of stupid mistakes but giving us a chance was definitively a right choice” said Maeve as they danced.
Not that a shoulder rub wouldn't have been nice, but somehow in a crowd like this, Lucien just knew it wouldn't relax him. A dance was different though, lots of people were dancing and he could still feel close to Maeve while doing it. It was a nice evening, though coming to a close, the plan was to stay the night and head back to Orlais in the morning with an early start. Which he wasn't completely looking forward to since he hated getting up early but they had appointments to get back for.

He smiled warmly as she spoke, he definitely agreed with her words, he was rather happy himself about it all, but Maeve had stood by him through some shit, and as a result he couldn't ever imagine his life without her in it.

Without you who knows where I'd be when I'd been hell bent on revenge regardless of any personal cost to myself, you really held me back from the edge while also helping me to get the revenge I sought. He smiled again and kissed her slowly and deeply. We should probably think about heading to bed at the Inn, we've got along travel ahead of us tomorrow.
