ONGOING SITE PLOTS!
Our site plots which are ongoing are listed below.
THE FALL OF ORLAIS
Orlais fell to the Blight. However, at the last minute, the Witch of the Kocari Wilds swept in. In Flemeth’s words: "I nudge history, when it's required. Other times, a shove is needed." Whether Flemeth’s cohabitation of Morrigan’s body is why Orlais has a safe-land, only Morrigan herself knows. Val Royeaux is protected by a ward; and all within Orlais who did not evacuate from the Blight will find themselves safe within the capital. Orlais is dangerous territory to travel, but it is possible to leave Orlais. Dangerous, but possible.
THE CLOSURE OF NEVARRA
Nevarra has fully succumbed to the necromancy-gone-wrong. The kingdom is a lost cause, and a barrier has been erected to keep people out. And keep those creatures in. There are no plans to save this country, at this time. This leaves all Nevarran characters displaced from their homeland.
AN UPDATE ON FERELDEN
The Ferelden archdemon walks amongst the Grey Wardens. And for now, the Blight is not at the forefront of peoples’ minds, though they do have to contend with the darkspawn attacking villages. The horde has broken up, and spread throughout the country, into much more manageable and smaller hordes. It’s almost like they don’t know what to do. Or perhaps they’ve been called off?
SITE CHANGES
After receiving feedback from members, we’ve changed a few things onsite!
ACTIVITY CHECK UPDATE
We have decided that we want to adjust our activity checks. As of 03/12/2023, canon or franchise characters must write two posts a month to meet activity, regardless of whether it’s a check-in month or not.
Check-ins still apply to secondary characters and you can see the new schedule on the general information page. Should someone writing a franchise or canon character need to lower their posting requirements, speak with Ivy or Bach.
GRADIENT USERNAMES
We’ve recently implemented gradient usernames. This is just a nice little flare of color. Please let Aktaie or Ivy know if you’re struggling to read a gradient color-set. These have been tested in color blindness filters, accessibility ratings against the black background of the site, so we think we’re in the clear. But if not, let us know!
BLIGHTS: CHALLENGES
In an attempt to help people find the Blights more fun to write, we’re going to be posting up monthly challenges. These challenges will serve as a “guide” for people who may want their characters involved but aren’t sure how to involve them.
You don’t need staff permission to do a challenge, but you can tag Ivy on discord if you need anything NPC’d. You’ll tag her just like you would if she were writing the thread with you and your writing partner.
This month’s challenges are:
Resupply a town overrun with refugees.
Help medics/healers with their wounded.
Help to evacuate a town being overrun by darkspawn.
Clear darkspawn off of an important road or crossroads.
