[open] what do you mean there's spiders?
Some violence
This wasn't planned. But, then, when was anything that Finwe did ever planned. They flew by the seat of their pants, at all times. Without fail. Why else had she found rejection in every step taken to get into the University? Stodgy assholes, the lot of them. They liked to imagine each one of their stupid little faces on the spiders that now surrounded her.

It was, after all, those same judgmental and disdainful eyes. But, perhaps, with more a side of... hunger? Yeah, that. Hunger. Shit.

Of course she'd managed to wander off from her friends at this stage. They probably had no idea where she'd gone off to or the pickle she now found herself to be in. Sitting atop a rather large rock just outside a cave, the best Finwe could do was swing a torch at the large beasts. It kept them at bay, but never were they far off. Bastards.

Now would be a great time if some kind stranger happened to be passing byyy!!~ Calling out was probably pointless... unless?
Grim was on his way to meet up with Nell, as they’d reached out to him about another job and Grim wasn’t in the position to turn down work. Not with as big of a stomach as his dogs had, he didn’t care if he went without, but he couldn’t do that to his dogs, and hunting wasn’t always enough to keep everyone fed and clothed. Though perhaps if he spoiled them a bit less that wouldn’t be the case, but that was never going to happen.

As he travelled, Floki’s ears suddenly perked up and it wasn’t long after that that Grim could hear someone calling for help. He gave Floki the command to to scout out ahead and not long after that he heard Floki barking and went towards the sound with sword drawn and shield at the ready. As he came into view, Floki had taken up position by Finwe, growling at the spiders. Grim gave Cheese Ball the command to hide, and the little dog didn’t hesitate to take up a defensive position well behind his master. Grim shuddered slightly and shook his head.

It just had to be fucking spiders. With that, he set himself to hacking and slashing his way around them.
Finwe let out a dire shriek as one of the spiders managed to grab hold of a leg. No! No no no nOO no! An awkward, crying laugh escaped after the blood curdling shriek. Desperately, she tried to wiggle their way free of the menace. Let goooo, they pleaded.

Thankfully, it sounded like someone had come 'round to help. But blast it all, whoever it was wasn't killing the blighters fast enough. Please, please, PLEASE HELP. More sobs punctuated by strained laughter and panic echoed the words over and over as they got weary. Kicking, wiggling, struggling against the hungry monstrosity.
Grim wasn’t particularly fond of spiders, though he didn’t imagine many were. he hacked and slashed as fast as he could. At one point one of the larger spiders lunged at him and managed to pince his arm. It hurt some, but with his armour on it probably just amounted to a bruise.

Floki barked and was also doing some lunging, biting at the spiders. There was a rune painted on the dog’s side that activated and the dog suddenly grew to twice its size, which made it much more easier to swat and bite at the things, trying to keep them off of Finwe.

Finally they were down to two siders, one started scurrying away, while the other seemed a bit conflicted as to what it should do, while it looked at its dead friends all around it. Having at least half a second, he looked at the person that was in trouble.

Are you all right? Are you injured? He figured he’d just let the one spider scurry away, Floki stood growling at the spider that remained.
Perhaps if they hadn't been so panicked about the spiders, they might have been surprised to suddenly see a very large dog. One that wasn't that size until just moments ago. But, really, she had other things to stress about. Pincers. Legs. Fangs? They were pretty sure those were big fangs. Oh for any watching god out there to deem it worthy to protect them.

Words. A voice. Talking. Right! They were being saved!

I, uhm, no? Yes... perhaps... Finwe frowned, looking around in realization that all but one spider was dead or gone. With their heart pounding hard within her chest, Finwe looked themselves over. It wasn't until the search came down to one leg that they realized there was blood. And as it didn't appear to be sticky, weird ichor, one could only assume it was, in fact, Finwe's blood.

Oh, that's... hrk that's... Covering her mouth, Finwe gave a dry retch. Blood. They finished, swallowing the nearly vomit-turned bile.
Grim gave a look of concern towards Finwe, but then ordered Floki to help him dispatch the last spider before he turned his focus on seeing how badly the person had been injured. His momentary distraction the spider turned and lunged at Floki, it managed to hit him with one of the spider’s legs or arms or whatever it was. It surprised Floki, perhaps bruised him a bit, but didn’t hurt him too much.

Turning his attention back to the lone spider, he moved in for the kill. Making a mental note that he really didn’t like spiders and didn’t understand why the gods had to make them so bloody big. Once the spider was dead, Floki went back to a normal sized dog and Grim walked over to where Finwe was to see if he could help.

Let me see it, I have a first aid kit. I’m no healer, but I can at least get it cleaned up and bandaged. He explained, then realised, he couldn’t remember if he’d introduced himself and his dogs yet. Once Cheese was sure all the spiders was gone, he trotted out and sat near Finwe looking up at them curiously. Er, I’m Grim by the way, Mabari over there is Floki and the little one is Cheese Ball.
