You should bandage those, until they scar. Merilin chided, as Cade slipped by him to find wine. You'll get an infection. He grumbled; it was as near to admitting he cared as he'd get.

He held out a spoon, towards the women. Taste? It did him good to have something to focus on; and there was a science to cooking that Merilin appreciated, when Eriar forced him out of his lab, that is.

Imported spices are Eriar's favorite, he joked, allowing his gaze to sweep towards Nahreida. Good thing you weren't caught smuggling. Though, it wasn't like they could afford to bribe and pay off officials if Nahreida had been captured for smuggling.
Eriar offered a wide smile to Nahreida. True or not, I love the thought, darling. She pressed a gentle kiss to the other aberration's cheek before releasing both her and Cade from her wide hug.

The feel of Cade's strong hand on her back brought out a small coo of enjoyment before she followed his movement into the kitchen.

Tch, she swatted in Merilin's direction at his words. Let me do the fussing, it us unbecoming of you. The sly, quick smile betrayed any seriousness of her tone. She did love seeing the little ways he showed he cared.

My favorite is when those I love think of me whilst out and about. She corrected, playfully. Looping around beside Nahreida, she moved to guide the other toward Merilin where he offered a taste of supper. Come, come, try it. I've used some of the spices you brought home last trip. She grinned.

Cade, dear, there is a poultice in the cupboard by the bed for your new marks. I made it last night. And I can help later with you back. She looked over at him, flashing a wink as she added: Perhaps in exchange, you could put those hands of yours to good use on mine. Eriar couldn't help but give a quick flap and flutter with her wings at the notion.
It felt so good to be at home with the people they loved. The hustle and bustle as everyone spoke around them and busied themselves. The smell of food cooking. They looked around and listened intently as everyone spoke, allowing themselves to just fall silent for a bit, soaking it up all around them. They could finally recharge after their tiring journeys. They loved tattooing and they even loved helping out the Rivain rebellion, but it was so tiring and it meant seeing their loved ones less.

They nodded at all the right places, making some passive comments here and there as everyone spoke. They smiled big when the spices were commented on. They turned to Merilin and shrugged.

That’s what pocket shadows are for. They said with a grin. They looked at Cade’s wrists, but were probably less concerned than the others. They themselves could be bad about treating cuts, not that they got cut often, but it did occasionally happen. They had a bad habit at picking at scabs.

Then they walked over to where the food was cooking at Eriar’s urging. They loved that the spices they brought home were always put to use. Nahreida couldn’t cook to save a poor hairless nug, so they were extra appreciative that others could cook.

Mmmm, delicious as always, and I am famished. I wanted to get home as fast as I could, so I didn’t stop to get something to eat on the way. She smiled again and kissed Eriar on the cheek, before going to sleep she had lost her lover and wasn’t sure she’d ever get over it, but now, here, in this time, not only was she in love, but she was in love times three, and it was marvelous.
