Magnus watched the young elf try to gather themselves. Much to his relief, they did in fact appear to be untouched. At least, as of now. There was something innocent about them- well, unabashedly naive might have been a better descriptor. But perhaps there was something he didn't see...something that had kept them alive through what he assumed was years of wandering off on their own.

He considered lecturing them but thought better of it. It didn't seem like the sort of thing that would stick, anyway.
Instead, he looked to Jaq and gave a tiny nod - knowing her well enough to predict the question she hadn't yet asked. The girl might be young, but she had a damn fine head on her shoulders for such things.
