A colorful celebration of life

Magnus's playfulness didn't go away, but it certainly took a moment to let his sincerity underscore his words. His fingers found hers.  

[color=#7CD98A]"My heart is yours and has been since that night so long ago.  That's never going to change.  So as long as you'll have me, I'll always be with you."  [/color]

It wasn't exactly the answer he wanted to give.  He wanted to promise forever, to promise that he'd never leave her.  He just couldn't.  The truth is that he would leave, in a heartbeat, if that was the only way she had a shot at happiness.  What it came down to was that he would do whatever was necessary to make her happy, even if it meant he couldn't be.  

That anyone else would do something different was beyond his comprehension.  It was unforgivable.  Fuck that guy.  

[color=#7CD98A]"And, before you ask...yes, I fully intend to have my spirit follow you around like an invisible guardian after I die.  If you want to be rid of me, you'll have to burn sage or chase me away with a broomstick or something."[/color]  The lighthearted tone was back in his voice, his smile cheerful.  [color=#7CD98A]"You're gonna have to work really hard to convince me my place is anywhere other than by your side, Lara.  I'm persistent."[/color]

Then he kissed her, doing his best to assuage all of her fears and worries.  Together, they were unstoppable.
