He could see that she was used to maintaining her distance with her acerbic tongue and he simply couldn't allow her that luxury. Not right now at least. 

When she sat down, he took a spot on the bench next to her, straddling it as opposed to sitting properly. He leaned his elbow languidly on the tabletop as he studied her.
