Only Kirkwall wasn’t boiling it was the very opposite. Leaf had never seen such torrents and unending downpour of water. Within minutes of their arrival, her robes were completely sodden and weighing her down as she tried to trudge through the thigh-high rivers quickly replacing the city’s streets. The extreme flip to poor weather had taken all by surprise, people slipping, struggling to navigate the rising waters or trapped by the sudden deluge.
Using her staff as a guide - because falling down a shaft or drain and drowning was not about to happen on an already disastrous day - Aoife scouted the street ahead. Perhaps creating some sort of dam would slow the submergence of Lowtown?
