A sense of impending doom

No, this place was not safe.  Even if were not obvious simply by walking parts of the city she would think it dangerous.  There was a darkness to it that went far deeper than most would suspect, something that seemed the taint even that which might seem harmless.  She did not like what this place had become and it made her wonder about precisely what had happened in the years while she had been sleeping.  A mystery she could solve upon her return to Arlathan; no doubt they had something in the Repository that would shed some light on it.
