For the first time in twenty years, she felt like she could relax. It was an odd sort of feeling, to say the least. All she'd ever wanted was to feel like she was safe. In the few moments she'd been with Chip, she felt more than safe. She felt like someone was finally in her corner and that she no longer had to worry about being on the run, even if a part of her still thought that to be the best solution to this mess she'd found herself in.
Closing the gap between them, she pressed her lips softly to his other cheek.
