Megara’s smile curled as he laughed. It sounded less forced, more relaxed, and that was what she’d intended. A natural calm seemed to follow her. Perhaps that was what made her a good healer, the comfort she brought with her, with her smile, a silly joke or train of thought. Perhaps it was merely Sylaise and the souls influence?

His current being had her growing increasingly concerned.
