The two sisters quickly evacuated what space they needed, then with raw magic, tore down the two buildings. Their magic intertwining, Leaf felt herself smile. This might actually work. It was almost nostalgic, reminding her of the early days when Bethany’s magic was newly emerging. They had trained, practised together ever since then until their talents took them in different directions.
As the levy began to take shape, her hands gesture, smoothing out gaps where water broke through. The water level around them dipped lower, a reassuring sign they were on the right course. Good. The less water there was down here, the higher chances Darktown wasn’t a drowning pool of death.
