In less than a month Megara’s thoughts towards the future had begun shifting. Meeting Revas, and in turn June, had been a surprise, but a welcomed one. Nairn’s survival of Kirkwall and condition had almost consumed her attention if not for Sylaises’ reminders of their responsibilities. Both host and soul were conflicted. Their loves returned, but neither completely whole. Meg had noted every detail of Nairn’s heart, gathering the blueprints from the engineers maintaining him for the next time the pair returned to Arlathan.
