While usually steady on her feet, the violence with which the ground shook beneath their feet caught her off guard. She wasn't quite fast enough to dodge the sudden maw that formed beneath them, or to grasp the hand that reached out to help her. Instead she found herself plummeting beneath the earth, descent illuminated by strangely colored crystals marking the chasm.
Unable to maneuver close enough to grab anything to break her fall, she instead summoned a barrier to break it. The landing wasn't exactly soft, but she could walk away from it and she'd settle for that. She pulled herself to her feet slowly, taking a moment to look around, and found herself brushing off something more than just dust off her armor.
Eggshells. Lovely. That wasn't ominous or anything.
[color=#17b529]"I'm alright!"[/color] she shouted back up, looking around the chasm for signs of just what sort of nest they may have stumbled on. [color=#17b529]"But we may have a problem. Something's hatched down here - don't know what or how many yet."[/color]
