Ella listened, as she was pulled upright. There would be dinner—and the more she listened... the more she saw that, while Kazcor could be deceitful, it wasn't to be malicious. If anything, the other woman had spilled the truth all too easily, it must've bothered her.
[q]Benson's... the man with the wine?[q] She tilted her head, nodding. She could see how he'd be useful to newlyweds... and then her fiancee was explaining that they allowed Benson's father to live on the property, even though he didn't work.
[q]Oh. That's... surprisingly kind.[q] Most people didn't care so much for their servants, and had little reason to set them out the second they became unable to serve. It was... strange.
She'd follow Kazcor's lead, taking in her surroundings as she went.
