In her hurry to stand, the servant slipped, stumbled, but caught herself before planting herself back onto the cold, damp ground. Every muscle screamed in protest, pushed to their limit from running, diving into the water and fighting the current. Her stomach growled loudly while she searched around, gathering the driest pieces to hand. Wandering too far was unwise and Siora circled instead of delving deeper into the dark forest, the darkness hitting home how futile escape would have truly been.
She’d return shortly, crouching by the fire on the opposite side from him to feed it, lining up the others to dry some. [color=#c19e00]“Thank… Thank you.”[/color] No words felt more bitter, but some gratitude was warranted. [color=#c19e00]“For saving me. I’m grateful.” [/color]
