Area Thread Prompts
Hello one and all,

So to get some action going in a few areas I’ve had a few ideas for thread prompts that could (however they are resolved) affect those in charge somehow, big or small. These are just some ideas, but feel free to hit me up if you want to expand or slightly change them to suit your characters better. I don’t need to be involved in the thread unless you wish a passing visit from the character associated with the prompt or an NPC dice roll.

There are also rewards for these threads upon completion, which I will list alongside.


Arlathan



Prompt One: The Missing Shipment

There is an issue with the fabric delivery for Megara’s wedding dress. Luckily the future bride is unaware of the lost box, but her assistant is frantic and attempting to find it before she, or her future husband finds out. You have been asked to track and trace the missing shipment.

Reward
An NPC favour from Megara’s assistant. (This will be an NPC post where Megara’s assistant can offer you what help you may need)

Prompt Two: Forest Guardian

The Forest surrounding Arlathan is ancient and naturally looks after itself, however a few of the city gardeners have noticed a small blight beginning to take root in one section. You’ve been asked to investigate and survey the extent of the infection and report back. A PQ+ will be arranged later to deal with the root cause and clear the affected forest.

Reward
A supply of rare plants and herbs for your character (up to 6 months)
A PQ+ will be arranged later to investigate and deal with the root cause.

Prompt Three: Lights Festival

The Lights Festival is a small event where elves prepare and light paper lanterns that drift along the river. These can range from prayers, poems, wishes, remembrance etc. Someone however has sabotaged the paper needed to create the lanterns and the organisers need more. Can you help secure more paper and help make the lanterns?

Rewards:
5,000 Gold and the gratitude of the celebrating elves.


Antiva



Prompt One: The Council Meeting

An important council meeting with the Merchant Princes is coming up, linked to the major trade routes being negotiated by King Enzo. You are tasked by an unknown member, their identity is a complete mystery, to lay out listening devices so the meeting’s details are acquired. During this task a half-baked plot to assassinate the King is discovered - this can be as ridiculous or as serious as your character determines or can be rolled for.

Rewards
Create a rumour around King Enzo that Meg will use in future.

Prompt Two: Elgar’nan’s Hostages

Young elves had been disappearing long before the fall of Elgar'nan but peaked during this time. A few of those taken hostage by the God-King have returned to Antiva City claiming there are more who are in need of rescue. Your task in this thread is to find the location of the other missing elves. A PQ+ later down the line will be organised for the initial rescue.

Rewards:
A Mothers Thanks - The families of the missing have banded together a small financial reward (2,000 Gold) or, if the players choose, an ally of Antiva City’s elves.
A PQ+ will be organised later for the rescue.

Prompt Three: Francesco’s Heirloom

A local auction house has come across some valuable objects that could have significant sentimental value to the Royal House. To keep the Royals out, however, the Auction House has decided to list the items as something entirely different and only allow collectors of unscrupulous character and intentions to bid on the items. Your task, if you wish, is to retrieve the items by any means and use them later to gain favour or use as leverage against the Royal House. Alternatively your character could keep the items to themselves. WARNING: If your character chooses to go against the Royal house by refusing to return them or as leverage, please be prepared for consequences later down the line. These can be discussed if this is the chosen path.

Rewards:
A Royal Reward - If Francesco’s item is returned to the Campana’s, players will receive a Royal Pardon which can be used in the future, depending on their crime or needs. If the player does not return the item, they will receive 5,000 Gold but will gain a consequence for their action at a later date.

The Eyes



Prompt One: The Turncoat

A former member has fled to the Free Marches in an effort to hide, divulge their secrets to the highest bidder and expose a weakness. You are tasked with neutralising this traitor and returning the documents only to Malachai.

Reward:
Earn an IC reward of your characters choosing (within reason ofc) from Malachai himself.

Prompt Two: Infiltration and Extraction

One of Eyes has been caught, luckily their captures do not know their affiliation to the organisation yet but time is of the essence. You are tasked with infiltrating the location by any means and extracting or, if needs be, neutralising the spy. This can be made more difficult by dice rolls but will be left up to the players involved.

Rewards:
Receive a bonus (2,000 Gold) and an advantage socially within Tevinter

Prompt Three: Arresting Offenders

You have been given a list of names of individuals that need to be arrested and brought to the Eye’s headquarters for questioning and possible reeducation. One is a runaway scientist whose research is part of a state secret, another is a prominent guard in the Senate who has been running his mouth for coin, and the third is a Noble who’s been corresponding with an enemy of the state (optional Qunari).

Rewards:
Earn renown, climb a rank within the Eyes and a small favour from Malachai.
