Family Anger (Jaq/Julian)
None
Julian stormed out of his father's office. The amount of anger he felt in his veins. He couldn't believe his father was forcing Jaq, Tomas, and himself out of the estate. It was a sign of weakness. His steps hit the floor, echoing through the hallways. His fist clenched as he stormed the halls racing toward his room. As soon as Julian was in his room and slammed the door, he let out a scream. Darkness spiraled around him as his emotions took over him. He had the tendils wrapped around his hand as he punched a wall in his room. After he punched the wall, he took a breath and sighed. After a moment, the tendrils soon faded and recoiled within himself as he walked over to his bed and crashed back first.
Jaq had heard the slammed door echo in the corridor and the hairs on the back of her neck immediately stood on end.  Julian didnt often react so strongly these days...which meant something was probably very, very wrong.  With everything happening...that could mean any number of things.

There was only one way to find out.

With silent footsteps, she headed towards her brother.  She knew how to navigate these halls without being seen - she'd been doing it since childhood.  It was, after all, often easier to be invisible in her family.

When she got to his door she paused, her hand hovering over the door as if she were about to knock.  She took a hushed breath and concentrated...reaching out with her mind instead.

"Julian?  Is everything okay?  What's wrong?"
“NO. The world is shit. You will come in regardless so I don’t know why your asking.” Julian spoke annoyed as he stayed on his bed. Anger still filled inside of him.
Jaq rolled her eyes internally.  Of course she would come in...but was easier if she got permission.

She opened the door, lifting slightly to prevent the hinges from making any sound.  She slipped in like a shadow, and closed it behind her.

She could sense the frustration boiling within her brother like a pot on the verge of overflowing.  This was not good.

"What happened?"
“Dad is the problem. You know what he asked me to do…no I misspoken…he ordered me to take you and Tomas out to our mothers estate…away from the danger of this city…I blew up on him…might have said some nasty things…but he even requested me to his office as if I was some servant of his…” Julian spoke with anger. He was fed up and couldn’t believe he was told to leave the city. Julian and Jaq could handle themselves. They could protect his brother. But to ask us to leave sends a message that they are weak. “Even when things with Alonso were beginning to be real…” Julian whispered under his breath.
Jaqueline froze.  Their mother's estate?  Banished to her mother's estate.  No.  She couldnt leave...not when there was so much here that needed her.

"No. Julian...we can't go.  Tomas, yes.  But we can't go.  Alonso...Enzo...they need us.  They aren't safe."
“You think I don’t know that?” he shouted back. The anger released as if it controlled his body. Taking a moment, he gave himself a quick breath in and out. Trying his best to regain control. “I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to shout….we will make a plan. We take Tomas and then we take turns going in and out of the city. We be welcome home, so assuming Enzo allows use of his safe houses we can stay there. We gotta keep them safe and protect this city…even if it means we stay in the shadows…”
Jaqueline didnt react to the raised voice...she'd been around enough angry men to realize that fury had nothing to do with her.  She nodded and Julian continued, referencing the little places Enzo had scattered about the city.  She began to take inventory of the ones that would best serve their needs.

"Of course we can use his houses.  I can think of 3 that would be perfect.  Pack clothes and equipment...we can drop them off there before we go."  She didnt mention that she didnt need to pack - her things were already there.

As if appearing out of thin air, suddenly there were keys in her hand.  "How quickly can you be ready?"
"I can be ready by the night's end. Shouldn't take too long." Julian spoke to his sister. There was still so much anger filled with him by his father. He left on bad terms and can't possibly think about even talking to him again at this point. "I need to get a message Alonso before we leave....um and yes before you say anything about that...we can agree that I love him. I finally have come to terms with that....moving on..."
Jaqueline nodded.  "About damn time.  I need to talk to Enzo and make arrangements.  I'll be at your door tonight...have yiur shit ready.  This only works if we don't get caught...so stick to rhe shadows."

She didn't wait for a reply, just turned and walked to the door.  With her hand on the knob, she finally looked back at her brother.  "You two really are perfect for each other.  We just gotta keep everyone safe long enough for you to enjoy it"
