A Birthday Bash

Denerim was bustling with more people than normal and the palace was at the center of it. Decorated in banners, both Fereldan and Antivan, tables laid out with food from both nations, it was clear a party was being held.

The event? A grand birthday party for Franziska Wulff and Adaria Campana.

Byron had decided to go all out for both women on this occasion. Invitations to all, an attempt at a blended party in the way that a Fereldan could handle Antivan cuisine and decor, surprises laid out for later in the evening. The palace was bustling, and warm for once with fires going to keep off the chill from the air that he always heard about. People were dressed to the nines, music was playing, the guards were on alert for any trouble that might occur.

It was an attempt to keep some levity going in difficult times, something that Byron hoped would be taken well.

OOC:

This is the opening post for the birthday party being held by Byron for Fran and Adaria's shared birthday. It's open to anyone and everyone who'd like to attend, Byron flung open the doors to the palace for this event and he's never cared who shows up for things as long as no trouble is had.

Please use this post to intro/show your character's entrance to the event, and then break off into your own threads!
It was her first year in Ferelden, marked by her birthday. And she hadn't expected anything — but when Byron had sent her off for the day, the ladies maid had let slip; he was throwing them a ball. Them, she'd said. Her younger sister was being included, which meant @Adaria Campana was going to be in Ferelden for the evening, at the very least.

Franziska was late, waylaid by the maid. She'd rolled her eyes, as she entered from an upper level, to find her husband. You didn't have to do this, you know. Oh, but the level of extravagance was near to what her father would have done.

And she could appreciate that. But, whoever gave you tips on an Antivan vibe, she grinned, and bumped shoulders with the man, as she watched a violinist play. You did good.

@Byron Wulff
When her invitation had arrived Adaria had only just arrived in Antiva, the travelling chests and belongings brought back from Orlais lay around waiting to be brought indoors. All of which was forgotten about in lieu of shopping for a new dress though in the excitement of snubbing her brothers for a party elsewhere she remembered to inform Zevran of the change in plan. Hopefully their plot wouldn’t be hindered too much by the change in location, but since the ball in Tevinter, every one since had been lacking in stimulating entertainment.

Byron had done well with the preparations and Adaria had arrived discreetly to avoid revealing the surprise for her sister. It was their day and belonged to them.

Fingers danced across strings with natural ease and the Princess had begun the evening like their Father, among the band of musicians sussing out the people unknown to her while waiting on her family’s arrival. Leaning back into the chair she finally spotted Fran, shifting to stand and initiate an uptake in the current movements tempo.

A grin sprawled, lopsided, across her face, Happy Birthday to us, Franny.
Byron had grinned at Fran as they both looked about the room, Byron's eyes landing on the other princess in the room but he didn't mention it until they got nearer. I have my sources, his grin was wide as he kept his arms to himself for a change, letting Fran dictate what they did for the night. But his grin wouldn't leave his face, not even when Adaria came over to speak to Fran.

And it's the other lady of the hour! A smile as he even bowed ever so slightly to Adaria, not mocking her. As for me not having to do this? Of course I did. You're my wife, and she's your sister. And I remember many times being thankful to have my brothers with me for our birthday, Even if his parents had found the triplets a handful and a half. And it's nice, to not have that day forgotten. It'd make me a bad husband besides.
