Cretahl are ancient war beasts encountered deep beneath the Deep Roads.

Long before the first thaigs were established, legends spoke of the cretahl, horned beasts with eyes like molten silver. These formidable creatures possessed the strength of three brontos combined. Their method of attack involved charging at their prey, using their rock-hard frills to smash their targets into a bloody pulp. Once their victim was incapacitated, the cretahl would pin them down with their four powerful legs, swiftly stripping flesh from bone with their formidable jaws.

Despite their brutal nature, some cretahl were domesticated and used as fierce weapons in battle. However, the fate of these savage animals remains a mystery. Some believe the darkspawn wiped them out, while others argue they never existed. More imaginative minds speculate that these magnificent beasts retreated deep within the earth, hunting for the deadliest prey imaginable.
