A very long time ago, an ancient elf by the name of Ghilain'nan did experiments, one such experiment resulted in the cross between a cat and the more predatory of lizard species. When she was done experimenting, she let loose the creatures into the wild to see if they'd survive. They did and they flourished, spreading out throughout all of Antiva and Rivain, which has become their natural habitat.

Lizard cats, much like house cats, can grow up to 6 to 35 lbs and 13 to 40 inches long. Their bodies are a mix of a cat's and a lizard's in terms of texture.
